Your new student housing is just across the road from Plymouth University and only three minutes’ walk from Plymouth College of Art. You’ll never run out of essential supplies with a Tesco Express convenience store right underneath the building. For a bigger shop, you can stock your kitchen cupboard with groceries from the nearby Sainsbury’s. You can walk or cycle to most places in the city centre, but for trips to postcard-perfect towns along the Devon coast and historic Exeter, the main train station is less than half a mile away.
It’s easy to make friends over a game of table tennis in the comfortable common room; allocated accommodation means you’ll be placed with people from your university so you might already recognise a few faces. Make some popcorn in the microwave to nibble as you chat to your housemates in your apartment’s shared living and dining area, kept spick and span by the free fortnightly clean. There’s complimentary broadband in all the communal areas, so you can introduce your new buddies to your family back home over Skype.
When it’s time to do your homework, brainstorm ideas at the large tables in the common room, or hook up to the Wi-Fi at the desk in your room. You can gaze out of the large windows when you need inspiration. Study completed, tidy your books away on the shelves and get washed in your private bathroom, ready for a good night’s sleep in your comfy bed.
