Both City of Glasgow College campuses are located in Glasgow with the City Campus situated on Cathedral Street and the Riverside Campus on Thistle Street.

History of the City of Glasgow College
The college’s beginnings trace back to the 1950s when Stow College of Hairdressing was founded by the Glasgow Corporation. Thirteen years later the college was renamed Central College of Commerce and Distribution and relocated to Cathedral Street.
The following year the new College of Building housing the College of Printing was officially opened by Labour leader Harold Wilson at North Hanover Street. It was one of the first commercial high-rise structures to be built in Glasgow.
On October 4th, 1969, Glasgow College of Nautical Studies formally opened its doors. Three years later it expanded its horizons, merging The College of Building with The College of Printing to form the Glasgow College of Building and Printing. The institution had 13 floors specialising in design, furniture, creative crafts, building, printing and photography.
In the year 2000, Central College of Commerce expanded with the opening of the Central Business Learning Zone.
In 2005 Glasgow Metropolitan College opened its doors as the city’s largest college. It incorporated the College of Building & Printing and the College of Food Technology. A year later Central College of Commerce was revamped and relaunched as Central College Glasgow.
The City of Glasgow College was officially formed in September 2010 with the merger of Central College Glasgow, Glasgow Metropolitan College, and Glasgow College of Nautical Studies.

The three different room types on offer in Glasgow are:
Shared Rooms allow two or more people to sleep in separate beds in the same bedroom. Other living spaces are shared with other tenants from other rooms.
Private Rooms will provide you with a private bedroom and, depending on the property, in some cases a private bathroom as well. Other living spaces are shared with other students.
Entire Place is a fully self-contained studio property with private living spaces. You’ll have your own bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette without having to share with anybody else.
Can I see the flat before moving in?
