If you want to do some serious shopping, the Meadowhall shopping centre outside Sheffield is 35 minutes away by public transport or a bit over 20 minutes away by car.
It’s not just shopping and bars that are at your doorstep, many universities are also within easy distance. Living at Sheffield 3 you’ll get to the University of Sheffield in less than 15 minutes. Sheffield International College is less than a 10-minute walk away and the English Language Teaching Centre is a mere 2-minutes from your doorstep. Sheffield Hallam University can be reached in about 20 minutes by public transport or on foot.
Sheffield 3 is a stylish, modern student accommodation building. The property is for students only, so all the people you’ll be living with will also be students like you. Making new friends should be easy in a large group of like-minded people!
Sheffield 3 offers two different types of room: private rooms and studios. When you book a private room, you get your own private bedroom just for you, as well as an ensuite bathroom with a toilet and a shower. You’ll share your other facilities, communal area and kitchen with 2-5 other students. Your bedroom will be equipped with a ¾-length (small double) bed if you go for the Ensuite Silver option or a single bed if you choose the Ensuite Bronze. You’ll also have a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a desk, a chair and a full length mirror.
If you decide to book a studio (the Entire Place option below) you won’t have to share anything. You’ll get to stay in a fully self-contained property where you have your own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. The studio rooms come with a double bed and a TV in your room. The room will have a desk, chair, full length mirror, wardrobe and chest of drawers as well as extra storage space underneath your bed.
If something should break, the property has a maintenance team on hand to address any issues. There is staff on-site 24/7 so all problems can be reported immediately. The staff are also happy to pick up any parcels for you that you may have ordered online in case you are out when they arrive.
When you need to wash some clothes, there’s no need to look for a launderette or take your dirty clothes home for you parents to wash: the on-site laundry facilities make it easy for you to wash your laundry whenever you need to.
When you decide to live at Sheffield 3, you won’t have to worry about any extra costs, because all bills are included in your rent. This covers the typical water, electricity and heating, but also the high-speed (100Mbps) WiFi, so you can watch Netflix or skype with family and friends as much as you like. You’ll also get contents insurance as part of your rent, so your belongings will be covered.
Sheffield 3 also offers flexible payment terms as well as flexible tenancy lengths. So if your course runs a different schedule than most courses, or if you just want to stay over the summer, you are more than welcome to do so.

If you already have a car, or decide to get one during your stay, you can leave it in the secure car park for an additional fee. If you prefer to cycle, don’t worry, there is also a bike storage when you can leave your bicycle free of charge.
