Make your home in the beachside city of Swansea, in walking distance to great shops, green parks and waterfront views
St David's has a great location in Swansea city centre, being just a 5-minute walk from the Swansea train station. The property also has great transport links to several of the city’s universities.
Living at St David's means having the best of Swansea within your grasp. Stroll to the Dylan Thomas Centre where you can discover Welsh poetry before queuing for the famous breakfast at lively Uplands Diner or shopping at The Quadrant Centre. For a change of pace, hit the beach, where you can go for a swim or try kayaking and windsurfing or venture to the Gower Peninsula for wild moors and utter tranquility. When night falls, get your dancing shoes on and head to the kitschy club, Popworld.
Enjoy the perks of living so centrally by stopping after lectures to sample traditional fish and chips on the seafront or to grab a delicious, artisan ice cream at Joe’s before heading home to study.
Living at St David's, having everything that Swansea city centre and the surrounding areas have to offer is not the only perk. You’ll also be able to enjoy an easy commute to the city’s popular universities and campuses.
The Swansea University Bay Campus is only 12 minutes away by bus and 17 minutes away on a bicycle. The other campus of Swansea University, the Singleton campus is also not far away. You can get there in about 25 minutes by bus or in 15 minutes by bike.
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David Technium is even closer, as it can be reached in about 10 minutes by bus or on foot. If you have a bike, it will only take you about five minutes to get to your lectures.
When you decide to make St David's your student home in Swansea, you can choose between two different room types. You can go for a private room, where you’ll have your own bedroom and bathroom and share the kitchen and a communal space with other students. If you prefer to have complete privacy, you can go for a studio (the Entire Place option) where you don’t have to share anything, but will have your own, self-contained bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.
With the private rooms, you’ll also have four different options to choose from (bronze, silver, gold or platinum) based on your preferences and budget. The difference between these different ensuite room types is the size of the room. They all have the same furnishings, with all of them coming with a desk, chair, wardrobe and a ¾-sized bed.
St David's is staffed 24/7, meaning there is always staff on-site. So if you should have any problems, you can report them right away. The property has a maintenance team that can help you if anything needs fixed. The staff on-site are also happy to take any packages you might receive. So if you like online shopping or your parents have mailed you some stuff from home, there’s no need to stay home all day waiting for your packages to arrive.
The property is access-controlled (you need a keycard to get in), and there are also CCTV cameras and security officers on patrol. If you own a bicycle, you can leave it at the secure, on-site bike storage free of charge. All this is designed to make sure you and your belongings will always be safe at St David's.
One of the things you’ll notice when moving out of your family home and heading off to university is that your clothes will sometimes need washing and, living away from your parents, you’ll have to take care of it yourself. This is quick and easy at St David's, as the property has a dedicated laundry room on its premises. No need to look for a self-service laundry place!
If you’re not quite sure about the dates you’ll need a student home for, don’t worry. St David's offers flexible tenancy lengths, so if you want to stay over the summer, you should be able to do that in most room types. The property also offers flexible payment terms, so you can suit the payment terms to your personal needs. To find out more, give us a call and one of our booking consultants will be happy to help.
You won’t have to worry about any extra costs, as all the bills are included in your rent. This covers everything you need, water, gas, electricity and heating as well as a high-speed (100Mbps) WiFi connection, which is available in all rooms of the property. So if you want a quiet weekend in and are planning to watch Netflix for two days straight, you won’t have to worry about data costs.
When you stay at St David's, you’ll also get free contents insurance as part of your rent. Hopefully you won’t need it, but it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
It’s good to remember that life is not all about studying. You’ll also want to enjoy your free time and that will be easy at St David's. When you’ve done enough studying at your private bedroom or in one of the dedicated study rooms, head out to the outdoor courtyard and garden to get some fresh air.
If you fancy a workout, just pop into the on-site gym to break a sweat. After getting your day’s exercise you can hang out with your new friends in the communal lounge. The communal lounge is also a great place to be for the many social events, as St David's has an exciting events calendar and hosts many fun and exciting events throughout the year.
