Cancellation Policy

1. My booking will only be held for 12 hours until the deposit is paid. If the deposit is not transferred within 12 hours of reservation, Belong has the right to cancel the booking.

2. After payment of the deposit, Belong will send me a payment receipt and booking confirmation letter and at least 2 weeks prior my check-in, Belong a formal lease agreement for my specific apartment.

3. The deposit is subject to the following cancellation and refund conditions:

a) If you cancel your booking at least 15 days before your move-in date, the prepaid rent will be forfeited and your deposit will be refunded, less a $500 + GST administration fee together with any other out-of-pocket expenses;

b) If you cancel your booking 14 days or less before your move-in date, the deposit will be forfeited but you will be refunded any prepaid rent;

c) If you do not sign your lease agreement on the day of move-in, clause b, above applies;

d) If you cancel your booking after you have signed your lease agreement, the terms of the lease agreement apply.

4. Except as provided in clause 3 above, the deposit is not refundable unless the apartment type I have chosen is unavailable and Belong fails to provide me with alternative accommodation to my satisfaction.

5. All required documentation must be submitted before the check-in date. Failure to do so grants Belong the authority to cancel or postpone my reservation.

a) If the required documents (passport, ID card, Visa, CoE) cannot be provided at least 15 days prior to check-in date, Belong reserves the right to uphold the reservation, refunding the deposit of 4 weeks and deducting 2 weeks of pre-paid rent, along with a $500 + GST admin fee deduction.

b) If the required documents (passport, ID card, Visa, CoE) cannot be provided within 14 days leading up to check-in date, Belong reserves the right to uphold the reservation, refunding the 2 weeks prepaid rent and deducting the deposit of 4 weeks, along with a $500 + GST admin fee deduction.

6. Joint lease bookings: All tenants must provide all required documents as per clause 5. In the event that one party fails to submit supporting documents, Belong reserves the right to cancel or postpone the booking if any documents are missing.

7. My booking deposit will be applied towards a furniture holding deposit when I sign my lease. The furniture holding deposit will be returned at the conclusion of the lease, less any deductions for damage and loss.

8. Sales video/pictures for apartments are proximate. Belong will advise more room details 1- 2 weeks before move-in.
