Use your student accommodation as a base for exploring the best of your new neighbourhood. Start your day with an inventive breakfast at local café Two Boys Brew, then take a stroll to historic Mountjoy Square - whose heritage Georgian buildings once housed the likes of James Joyce and W.B. Yeats. Spend summer afternoons amidst the natural splendour of the National Botanic Gardens, or keep an eye out for Bohemian football fixtures at Dalymount Park stadium. In the evening, head to Dublin Quays for dinner overlooking the River Liffey, before catching an arthouse movie at Light House Cinema.

At five-bedroom house North Circular Road, you can choose a private room or one shared with a friend. Whatever you go for, you’re a two-minute walk from the nearest bus stop. From there, you can reach Trinity College Dublin in 20 minutes, Dublin City University in 25 minutes and the city centre in 15 minutes. On weekends, discover masterpieces by the likes of Monet, Picasso and Titian at the National Gallery of Ireland, or learn about whiskey-making with a tour of The Old Jameson Distillery. 

When you get home, fight the chilly weather of a Dublin winter by turning up the central heating. Hang your coat in your bedroom wardrobe, then switch on the kettle, curl up on the living room sofa and spend time catching up with your housemates. With free Wi-Fi, you can use your laptop to stream movies, or to research a paper at your bedroom desk. If you need fresh air to stimulate your brain cells, take a 10-minute walk to the historic reservoir at scenic Blessington Street Park. 

Later, indulge in a long, hot shower in one of the house’s two bathrooms. Throw your dirty clothes in the washing machine, then take a seven-minute walk to the nearest Tesco supermarket to stock up on ingredients for dinner. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm, while the dining table makes it easy to invite everyone over for dinner.
