Experience a relaxed beachside lifestyle living on Auckland’s north shore at your student accommodation at Schnapper Rock. Sit reading on the soft sand at Takapuna Beach, try paddle boarding or head to the Takapuna Sunday Market to pick up picnic supplies if you’re feeling hungry. Throw a blanket down by Lake Pupuke, and see if the fish are biting with a spot of fishing after lunch. Ramp it up a gear and head into Auckland to check out art galleries, or go shopping with friends, congregating around Viaduct Harbour for evening drinks and a meal. Take it to another level with a bungee jump one weekend.

Make a home for yourself on Auckland’s beautiful north shore and be a 10-minute drive, or 45-minute bus ride to Auckland University of Technology North Campus. Take the bus or drive across Auckland Harbour Bridge to reach the city centre in less than 30 minutes. While you’re spending time at home in Schnapper Rock you can enjoy cafés, restaurants and going out in nearby Takapuna.

If you’ve spent the day driving around the coast, come home and park on the street, or in one of the off-street car spaces. You’ll have your own single bedroom within a shared house, so drop your bags and head to the lounge and watch TV with your housemates, catch up on gossip or plan to cook a meal together. Use the kitchen any time you need to make yourself a coffee, or to reheat some leftovers from one of the nearby takeaway eateries.

Settle down to study in your room, and keep all your books in order using the drawers and desk so you can find that textbook or pen when you need it. There’s a TV in your room, so you can catch up on the latest drama before having a snooze, and the room’s ready for Wi-Fi if you want to have it connected and pay a little extra for internet access. Stay on top of your chores with a trip to the building’s laundry room to put a load of washing on.

When you’ve caught up on your studies, drive 10 minutes to Constellation Park and take the train into the city to explore. Alternatively, enjoy the surrounding natural beauty of the area with a long stroll on the North Shore Coastal Walk.
