Walk to Aston University in 10 minutes, or get there even faster on the free shuttle bus. It’s a 15-minute walk to University College Birmingham, and a 25-minute bus ride to the University of Birmingham. The vibrant city centre is a five-minute walk from your door and, when you want to explore further afield, you can walk to Birmingham New Street railway station in 10 minutes and Birmingham Coach Station in 15.

Back home at Canalside, take the lift up to your flat and drop your books on your desk. Connect to the Wi-Fi and get a head start on your next assignment, or freshen up with a hot shower in your ensuite bathroom, then make a drink and a snack in your fully fitted kitchen. If you live in a studio you’ll have your own private kitchen, otherwise you’ll share your kitchen and living area with your flatmates.

With work out of the way, you’re free to take a break and sit at the breakfast bar, or relax on the sofa and watch your favourite series. For a change of scenery, get some fresh air in the courtyard or head to the common room to watch TV with friends. When you need to burn off some stress after a long day of lectures, go for a workout in the free residents’ gym, then tackle your laundry pile in the on-site laundry room.

If you’re in the mood for a night out, meet friends at student favourite Sacks of Potatoes, or eat burgers in the beer garden at The Lord Clifden. When you get back home, you’ll sleep easy in your large, comfy bed thanks to 24-hour security, CCTV and secure door entry.
