The Priory

Tucked away in a leafy street right beside the University of Leeds, the former church building boasts amazing original features. Once you step outside the redbrick wonder, follow the cobbled road that takes you into the heart of the main campus in a couple of minutes. Grab a coffee and sit outside at an alfresco café or check out the university’s sustainable garden en route to class.

The Priory is also well placed for quick access to the city’s other universities with the Leeds Beckett University, University Business School and Leeds College of Art less than a 10-minute walk from home.

When you need a break, take a picnic to the Woodhouse Moor then wind up the evening by catching a movie at the Hyde Park Picture House. If you’re looking for a bit more excitement, head to the Merrion Centre for a cocktail at LAB Bar and a night at the bowling alley.

Come home to your Tudor-style building with views of castle turrets through your bedroom window. Head to the converted rectory for some chill out time and a chat with friends. This huge space with oak panelling and beautiful stained glass windows is where history meets the modern world of free Wi-Fi, TV and games. 

Room sizes vary because it’s an historic listed building, but every room has a double bed, lots of storage, a fully-fitted kitchen and an ensuite shower room. With arched windows and original stonework adding character to your room, living at The Priory is a unique student experience.

You can enjoy peace of mind with safe bike storage, access to a laundry, CCTV and on-site maintenance team in the building. Plus, all-inclusive bills mean there’s no fuss when it comes to paying rent.

2021/22 rooms are reserved exclusively for postgraduates.

Ideally suited to those seeking quieter accommodation, postgrads can enjoy dedicated study and outdoor spaces, independent living and spacious studios.
