Join the city’s many students on fun-filled nights out at pubs like The Soar Point, or get your culture fix with trips to the Curve theatre in the cultural quarter. Live on the banks of the Grand Union Canal and you’ll be able to wake late and walk five minutes’ to to De Montfort University. There’s a regular shuttle bus to classes at University of Leicester or it’s 10 minutes’ on your bike if you fancy cycling. If you want to take a day trip to Birmingham or Nottingham, Leicester train station is 20 minutes’ walk from your home.
