Choose to live at Upperton Road and you’ll be placing yourself just a couple of minutes’ walk from De Montfort University and the Business and Law School. If you’re taking classes at University of Leicester there’s a regular shuttle bus to take you there and back, or you can cycle in around 10 minutes. It’s easy to use buses or your bike to get around the city and, if you want to head to Birmingham for a day of shopping, you can walk 25 minutes’ or jump on a bus from nearby Narborough Road to the train station.
Return home to your self-contained studio where you can sit and relax on your sofa in light-filled surrounds thanks to the floor to ceiling windows. Flick on the TV and catch the news while you pop a snack in the kitchen microwave or, if you have more time, use the oven and hob to cook up a feast. Storage isn’t an issue: there are plenty of fitted cupboards to store all your groceries, and there’s a double or triple wardrobe to keep your clothes neat and tidy. Study at the desk in your studio or lie on your bed to read. Take a long, hot shower in your ensuite when you want to freshen up.
In between study sessions you can use the building’s gym to work out or head to the wide open space of the communal lounge to play pool or sit back on the couches with friends as you plan your next day out in Leicester. It’s easy to manage your budget as your rent includes a one-off energy contribution, and utilities are included in your monthly payments.
