End your day with a tipple at famous art deco pub The Ship & Mitre, which is decorated to look like the interior of a ship, before walking five minutes home to sink into bed.
Marybone 1 is right next to Liverpool John Moores University library and the International Study Centre, and a seven-minute walk from the LJMU buildings on Byrom Street. Squeeze in a workout at the on-site fitness centre at home before heading to a lecture. The University of Liverpool and Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts are also 25 minutes’ walk away, and you can hop on the extensive bus network to get there sooner. When hunger strikes, nip out to the Tesco Express supermarket just down the street to buy something tasty for dinner.
After you’ve eaten, round up your friends to chill out in the cinema room at Marybone 1. Sit back in the comfy chairs with a bowl of popcorn – you might need to take a vote on whether you watch a film or the football on the big screen! If you’re in the mood to chat, head to the shared kitchen, where you can put the kettle on and catch up over a cup of tea and a packet of biscuits. Or hit the games room for a few rounds of pool and your favourite shows on the large flatscreen TV.
Give your family a guided tour of your new room on your smartphone, using the free broadband and Wi-Fi which features throughout the building. When you’ve finished your conversation, get stuck into an assignment at your desk or head to the laundry room to make a dent in your washing pile.
