There is bike storage on-site back home if you want to use your commute time to get fit – you can get to class at the Caerleon Campus in 20 minutes.
When your alarm goes off, start your day by getting ahead on your chores in Newport Student Village’s laundry room. Prepare your notes for class in the secluded study spaces or simply browse YouTube over a bowl of cereal at your desk using the free Wi-Fi in your room. If you like to start your day with a workout, head to Newport Leisure Centre, which is only 10 minutes’ walk away and has a gym and a swimming pool.
After you pack up your books for the day after class, return to Newport Student Village, grab a snack from the vending machine and play some pool with friends. Don’t forget to pick up deliveries from the office, as there is a parcel service provided for all students.
At dinner time, whip up a meal for friends with groceries you’ve picked up from the two large supermarkets nearby, or order in noodles and the free chicken wings from Chinese and Thai takeaway Jasmine Rice. Chill out afterwards in one of Newport Student Village’s many social areas.
Turn the light off at night knowing that you don’t have to worry about bills, as water, electricity and internet are all included in your rent and you also have contents insurance. There is 24-hour security to put your mind at rest too.
