Walk out of River Club and find yourself in the midst of a thriving, vibrant city. Try the many diverse food options available with a steak cubano at Latin American Cali N Tito’s, a fried chicken burrito at Athens institution The Taco Stand, or one of the ever-changing chalk board options at veggie stalwart The Grit. Walk it off with a stroll along the Oconee River or cheer on the Bulldogs at Sanford Stadium. Try the watersports at Lake Chapman, pay homage to Athens’ musical heritage with a night dancing at The Foundry, or catch a foreign language flick at cool indie picturehouse Cine.

Take the Athens Transit bus from outside your building, and you’ll be at the University of Georgia in around 10 minutes. Athens Technical College students can drive to class in 10 minutes, and there’s free parking and even a car wash station at River Club to take care of your car at the end of the day.

Back home at River Club, you can freshen up with a hot shower in your private bathroom, then watch a show on the flatscreen HDTV while you chat to your friends online. The Wi-Fi is free, so you can check Facebook or Skype friends back home, or start researching your next assignment.

Clear your head with a game of tennis or a few laps in River Club’s swimming pool, and maintain your healthy glow in the private full-service tanning salon. When hunger strikes, head over to Fooks Foods to pick up speciality groceries, and whip up a delicious stir fry in your modern kitchen. All the pans can go in the dishwasher, while you take your plate out onto your covered patio or balcony and look out over River Club’s beautiful woodland setting as you eat.

When you have an assignment due, retreat to your room for a focused study session, or work with your friends in the computer center. When you’re done, burn off some energy with a workout in the fitness center, or improve your moves on the basketball or volleyball courts. Throw your gym gear in the laundry back at your apartment, where you have your own washer dryer, then head to the residents’ lounge for a game billiards with friends.
