Atlanta is home to some stunning green spaces, so pack your book bag and leave your student housing to research your latest assignment in the sunshine at Piedmont Park. Take a break to visit the High Elevation House at Atlanta Botanical Gardens, where exotic orchids grow beside a massive waterfall, then make your way to Mary Mac’s Tea Room to fill up on Southern comfort food like fried chicken, braised oxtails and shrimp and cheese grits. Get your shopping fix in the stores at Atlantic Station, then spend the evening watching a Broadway show at the Tony Award-winning Alliance Theater.

Your central location means that it won’t take long to get to class. Walk to Georgia Institute of Technology in under 30 minutes, or stroll 33 minutes to Georgia State University. Cut your journey time in half if you go by bike, and excellent public transport links will get you to both colleges in around 30 minutes. If you’re studying at Savannah College of Art and Design Atlanta (SCAD), you can walk to campus in just eight minutes. There’s free off-street parking at Brookwood Courtyard.

You can choose to live independently in a self-contained studio or share your fully-furnished apartment with one or two roommates. Whatever you decide, you’ll have everything you need to feel right at home. Towels and bedlinen are provided and you won’t waste time on household chores thanks to the washer/dryer and dishwasher. There’s also a weekly housekeeping service to keep your place looking its best.

When hunger strikes, head to the kitchen to whip up your favorite food from home. It’s fully-equipped with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and there’s a dining area when you can eat in comfort. Alternatively, take your plate into the living area, put your feet up and watch a movie on the flatscreen TV.
