Get back to nature at Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, where you can spot local wildlife from the elevated walkway. Change the pace with a trip to Mall of Louisiana: shop for a new outfit, before catching a matinee at the AMC Theater. When football season swings around, get tickets for the game and cheer on the LSU Tigers at Tiger Stadium. If you’re not a sports fan, visit The LSU Museum of Art to see paintings by Gainsborough and Hogarth. Head back to your student housing to change, before meeting friends for oyster po’ boys at The Chimes, followed by a show at Swine Palace theater.

You’re so close to Louisiana State University that you can walk to class in 17 minutes. If you’re in a hurry, go by bike in four minutes, or drive there in two minutes. If you’d rather take the bus, the Tiger Trails Transit system will take you to-and-from campus in no time.

After a long day of classes, you’ll be happy to get home to The Hub to take a dip in the pool or challenge your friends to a game on the basketball court. If team sports aren’t your thing, work your muscles in the fitness center, then head back to your room to freshen up with a hot shower. There are laundry facilities on-site, so you won’t have to waste time at the laundromat, and you have a large closet to store your clean clothes.

You’ll find everything you need in the kitchen to whip up your favourite meals. There’s a microwave for those days when you don’t have time to cook, and the dishwasher and garbage disposal make tidying up a breeze. When you want to stay out of the Louisiana heat, turn on the ceiling fan and eat in the dining area. If you’d rather get some fresh air, take your plate outside to your balcony or patio.

Later, connect to the high-speed internet to start working on your assignments. Take a break and head to the TV lounge, or stay in your fully-furnished apartment to hang out with your roommates in the spacious living area. If you need any repairs, the management and maintenance teams are always available to help, and the friendly staff will also receive packages for you when you’re not home.
