Wake up in your spacious room at Encore at Sam Houston and roll into your private bathroom. Take a quick shower and get ready for the day ahead. Step into the fully furnished living area to eat breakfast at the dining counter. Throw a load of laundry into the washer while you catch up on the news with the cable TV, which is wired throughout your new apartment.

Swing by the communal breakfast bar before class and pour a free cup of Starbucks coffee to go. Jump in your car and get to the Sam Houston State University campus in just over five minutes, or ride the shuttle service from Encore at Sam Houston that’ll take you to and from your lectures. If you feel like having a leisurely walk, you can also head off on foot and get to class in around 20 minutes.

Set aside a few hours on the weekend to hang out by the pool. Swim a few laps and then lay out in the sun on the plush lounge furniture. Afterwards, get comfortable in front of the 60-inch HDTV in the media lounge to watch the big game or your favorite movie. Test out your skills on the arcade games, or work up a sweat on the basketball court or volleyball court. If you’d rather workout alone, you can hit the state-of-the-art equipment at the 24-hour fitness center on site.

If you have a group project to work on, you can reserve one of the conference rooms in the clubhouse. Then, finish up your assignment on the 27-inch iMacs or Sony PCs in the study center. End your evening beside the outdoor sand fire pit, and chat with your neighbors about the week ahead.
