Take advantage of the area’s flat terrain and cycle lanes and ride the three minutes to Bread Garden Market, then stock up on fresh groceries to create a culinary feast at home. The dishwasher will take care of the cleaning up.

On the weekend, hook up with the nearby Iowa River Corridor Trail, taking you down to the Terry Trueblood Recreation Area in scenic Sand Lake Park. Fuel up with brunch of Moroccan Eggs at local eaterie Leaf Kitchen restaurant first, or pack a picnic to enjoy as you look out over the lake.
