On weekends, wake up early at your student housing for a drive out to Keeneland Racetrack – where you can watch the horses being looked after in their stables, or exercised on the beautifully maintained track. Later, head back to town for a lunchtime picnic in the University of Kentucky Arboretum. Spend the afternoon sunbathing with your friends or reading beneath the shady trees, or get dressed in your blue and white gear for a Kentucky Wildcats basketball game at Rupp Arena. In the evening, celebrate a win with pulled pork and brisket at much-loved Kentucky BBQ spot Blue Door Smokehouse.

From Campus Court at Red Mile, you can walk to the University of Kentucky in 18 minutes, or keep a car in the parking lot and drive there in three. Whether you choose an apartment to yourself or one shared with friends, you can opt to have it pre-furnished for ultimate convenience. In the morning, wake up in your private bedroom, choose an outfit from your spacious closet or dresser, then stroll through to the kitchen for breakfast. On weekends, walk one minute to your closest bus stop for the 15-minute ride downtown.

After class, get your caffeine fix at the coffee bar before retiring to your air-conditioned apartment. Catch up with your friends on the living area’s comfy couches, or unwind with a session in front of your favorite cable TV shows. If you’ve got work to finish, use the free internet to research a paper, or get online in the computer lab instead. When you’re done, print your work in the business center before heading to the resort-style pool for a well-deserved break.

When you feel like exercising, hit the treadmills in the fitness center or get your friends together for a game on the indoor basketball court. With an ensuite bathroom and laundry room on site, freshening up after a workout has never been easier. Later, fire up the outdoor grills for an impromptu barbecue party, before spending the rest of the evening playing pool in the rec room.  If you’d rather go out, catch a classic film screening at the Kentucky Theatre or a new play at the Downtown Arts Center.
