Start your weekend with a drive over to Marmalade Café to fill up on Eggs Benedict or Pineapple Upside-Down Pancakes. Afterwards, head over to Malibu Creek State Park, to discover the most spectacular natural scenery in Los Angeles. Hike through rolling tallgrass plains, explore oak and sycamore woodlands, and discover the large, volcanic swimming hole. Later, browse the stores at The Commons at Calabasas, then head home to your student housing to change before meeting friends for enchiladas and margaritas at LA Paz Mexican Seafood Restaurant, followed by a movie at Edwards Calabasas 6.

When you base yourself at Malibu Canyon, Calabasas, you’re well placed to commute to class at any of the universities in the area. Drive to Pepperdine University in 18 minutes; reach Pierce College in 27 minutes; and get to class at California State University Northridge in 41 minutes. There’s carport parking available onsite.

When you get back home after a long day of lectures, head back to your apartment to drop your books. You can choose to have a one-bedroom apartment to yourself, or share a two- or three-bedroom place with friends. Change into your swimsuit and head out to the pool to swim a few laps, then relax in the hot tub. Get together with friends for a game on the basketball or tennis courts, or work your muscles in the fitness center, then head back to your apartment to take a hot shower and throw your gym gear in the washer/dryer. If that sounds too energetic, you can relax in the clubhouse and chat to friends about your day, or grill some burgers in the barbecue area, then eat together in the outside fireplace lounge.

Back in your apartment, connect to the Wi-Fi to make a start on your latest assignment — or grab a free coffee and organise a group study session in the communal areas. When you’ve finished work, cook something to eat in your fully-equipped kitchen, or order takeout from Michael’s Pizza instead.

Later, relax in your apartment’s spacious living area and watch Cable TV, then jump into bed and get a good night’s sleep ready for another busy day.
