After class, bike along the pretty Saranac River Trail to the heart of downtown to find a cool new outfit at DressCode and Clothes ‘n Kitsch thrift stores. Devour authentic Nepalese cuisine cooked by Tibetan monks at Himalaya restaurant, then head to The ROTA Studio to listen to live rock music before the two-minute drive home. Reboot the next day with a Zuke’s Special sub from Zuke’s Corner Store, then catch an exhibit at Strand Center for the Arts, or browse used books at Corner-Stone Bookshop.

Make the 10-minute walk back from class at SUNY Plattsburgh and sit in the courtyard at Broad Street Commons as you catch some rays of sunshine and chat to friends over a cold drink. On chillier evenings, cozy up on the couch in your apartment’s comfy shared living space. Heat up some hot chocolate on the full-sized stove to drink with your housemates, and settle down to watch the free cable TV. Take a Skype call from your family in the privacy of your bedroom – with free high-speed internet, you can stay connected as long as you like. When you’re done, head to the remodeled game room to meet friends for a pool tournament – you’ll have plenty more to talk about next time you call home!

Sleep well in your spacious bed and hit the 24-hour fitness center bright and early when you wake up, watching the flatscreen TVs to keep you motivated. Jump in the shower in your private bathroom, throw your gym gear in the laundry, then choose something to wear from your roomy closet.
