Live in student housing on the edge of Washington State University at Grove at Pullman, and see the Cougars play at Martin Stadium on weekends. When it’s not game day, hike the scenic Grand Avenue Greenway before refueling with authentic pho at Minh’s Restaurant. Head downtown to East Main Street to sip a mocha while you go over your notes at Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasters, then reward your hard work by rummaging for second-hand treasures at Lily Bee’s Consignment Shop and Brused Books. Round off your day with a feast at Porch Light Pizza before the short journey back home.

Walk to the heart of the WSU campus in just 20 minutes from your new home. If you’re not a morning person, stay in bed a little longer before picking up your car from the on-site parking facility and driving three minutes to class. If you need a quick pick-me-up before you start work, make sure you pick up a free coffee from the bistro at Grove at Pullman before you head out.

When university is done for the day, drive 10 minutes to stock up on groceries at the local Walmart or Safeway supermarkets. Then, return home to your fully furnished apartment and relax on the sofa in front of your favorite cable TV shows in the living area, or surf the free high-speed internet. Then, jump in the shower to freshen up in your private bathroom – with utilities included in your rent, you can take all the time you need. You can keep your sports kit clean with the washer dryer in your apartment. At the weekend, round up some college friends to hike in the rolling Palouse Hills at Kamiak Butte County Park – you can get there in just 20 minutes if you take your car.
