Settle down to study in a laid back college town that’s perfectly positioned between the Californian coastline and rugged mountain ranges. Take trips to vineyards with friends on weekends, or take up horseback riding and explore miles of scenic trails. Go shopping in Downtown SLO, browsing the stores along Higuera Street. Pass your evening watching arthouse films at The Palm Theatre or plays at SLO Little Theatre. Go for a bite to eat after at one of the city’s many superb restaurants. Enjoy seafood pasta at Gennaro’s Grill, or creek views from the patio of Novo Restaurant & Lounge.

Base yourself at Mustang Village and you’ll be a five-minute walk away from California Polytechnic State University. Get to Downtown shops and restaurants in around five minutes by car, or cycle in 15. You’ll want to jump in your car on weekends and hit the coast at Morro Bay, 15 minutes’ drive away, or the mountains, 15 minutes in the opposite direction.

Take breaks from the books when you’re at home and go for a dip in one of the pools. Sit by the side to dry off and chat with friends, planning your next night out or social event at Mustang Village. Work out in the fitness center and keep in shape for those mountain hikes you have planned. Play basketball on the courts or go for a wander in the parklands to clear your mind ready to return to your studies.

Back in your apartment you can focus at the desk in your room, kept nice and cool thanks to the air conditioning. You can always opt to work on group presentations in Mustang Village’s business centre where you can bounce ideas around.

There’s plenty of choices of layout so you could pick a studio all to yourself with a balcony overlooking the creek, or share with friends in a larger apartment with a spacious common lounge area. You won’t have to worry about maintenance, just drop by the onsite management team and chat to them any time you need their help.
