Illinois Institute of Technology
Specializing in technology-focused degrees, this private research university has campuses in and around Chicago
Illinois Tech was founded in 1890 after a minister delivered the ‘Million Dollar Sermon’, where he asked for donations to set up a school for students of all backgrounds. Today, just under 8,000 students are spread over five campuses: Main, Downtown, IIT Institute of Design, Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice, and Moffett. The first three are based in central Chicago, while the rest are just out of town. Choose accommodation in The Loop or Near West Side for short commutes.
