A pioneer of adult education since the 19th century, Birkbeck is a constituent college of the University of London. The majority of its classes take place in the evening though full-time courses are available. Birkbeck’s main campus is in Bloomsbury with one department even taking up residence in famous author, Virginia Woolf’s, former home.
