Guildhall School of Music and Drama
Based at the iconic Barbican in central London, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama is Europe’s only major conservatoire and drama school
When it was founded in 1880, the Guildhall was the first municipal music college in Great Britain. It remains one of the country’s best music and drama institutions, with alumni including Daniel Craig, Ewan McGregor and Hayley Atwell. Students can choose from a wide range of nearby accommodation, with Shoreditch and Spitalfields both a short walk from the college’s Barbican campus. Whitechapel, King’s Cross and Camden are within fifteen minutes of the Guildhall by tube.
