Is convenience a priority? Many of London’s best universities lie within walking distance or a short commute, including the Chelsea College of Art and Design, the European School of Economics or KCL. Vauxhall tube (which has a great view of Big Ben) is two minutes away, as is a major bus station.
Living in The Hub, which was refurbished in 2013, you’ll be part of a safe, largely residential area, although there are plenty of local cafés and restaurants to explore. Try an Indian curry or maybe some local pub grub. There’s even the community-run vegetarian Bonnington Café that’s hugely popular with locals.
If you’d prefer to end the day by whipping up your own creation, every studio at The Hub comes with roomy kitchen facilities. You’ll have your own oven, along with a microwave, hob and a fridge-freezer for those leftovers that can be so handy getting you through a busy week. They also all boast an ensuite bathroom with a shower.
Rooms have large beds so you can make star shapes; flatscreen TVs mean you can watch your favourite shows in private.
There's plenty of room to spread your books across the large desks provided for those all-important study sessions and free Wi-Fi is standard.
Storage space is generous too so you won’t be tripping over your pots and pans as you leap out of bed in the morning to get to class.
When you need a breather, head down to the common room and flop down on one of the big sofas to watch some TV or have a game on the table-tennis table and pool table which are free to use.
The property also offers secure door entry, and onsite maintenance. All bills are included and laundry facilities are available on site.
