I booked this place just 3-5days before I arrived in Melbourne. I checked in at 8pm and it seems that their reception is 7/24 based. The check-in procedure was smooth and the staff were always very nice. This place is also called Essence Hotel Carlton and did provide some hotel services including making the bed, changing the towels, refilling shower gel and shampoo, and emptying the bin in my stay. The experience was better than what I had expected for a student accommodation. I do recommend this place to new coming students and students who are looking for short stays.
